10-09-10: OPERATION P.I.P.

After looking over dates and making sure there were no other conflicting charity events I've finally chosen a date for OPERATION P.I.P, 09 October 2010. I would like to invite as many of you to pass the word out on the gaming sites and blogs and see how many we can get throughout the gaming community to participate.

The Cause

Operation P.I.P is a way for gamers to show support and raise awareness of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The Plan

It's easy.

On 09 October, gamers wishing to participate simply log into their favorite game and play in something pink. Pink clothes, armor, weapons or whatever. The idea is to raise awareness and support by wearing the recognized color of Breast Cancer Awareness. When people ask, inform them of what you are doing and encourage them to participate! The more who know the greater the awareness and support is!

Organize pink events! PVP tournaments, raids, group runs, fashion shows or any myriad of player created quests. The possibilities are endless!


The Cost

FREE.

No donations are being taken through this or other OPERATION P.I.P participants. If folks ask about donating, point them to one of the many Breast Cancer Awareness organizations or to their local Cancer research center and encourage them to donate there.

The idea here is to raise awareness and encourage others to give time, money or help to their choice of cancer support groups.



So get out there and spread the word! Lets make OPERATION P.I.P a huge success for breast cancer awareness and something we can make a yearly tradition!
